What students and parents say...

Ella Craig

"Having these sessions for A-level biology has not only boosted my grade, but also my confidence in my own ability. Due to the superb explanations and the quality resources provided, I’ve been able to understand topics that I once found impossible. So I’d like to give my thanks for the fantastic support I’ve been provided throughout the year!"

Codruta Soica

"I highly recommend The Biology Tutor for the excellent professional conduct and friendly approach to students. Gemma coached my daughter in A-level Biology for the last 3 months and we could see a huge improvement in both my daughter's knowledge and self-confidence. My daughter has regained her love for Biology. My deepest thanks."

Giorgos Papadopoulos

"Gemma did a fantastic job at preparing me for my A Level Biology exam and helped boost my grade significantly! (Far more than I thought I could achieve!) She's very easy to understand and combines practice questions with theory meaning you can put the knowledge into practice and learn how to answer complex questions. Thank you so much Gemma."

Lizzie Bett

"Known as my 'secret weapon', Gemma prepares amazing revision resources; completely user-friendly and packed with specification links. Gemma is very friendly and made me feel comfortable right away with my lack of confidence in myself and the subject, and was exceedingly knowledgeable about the content. I highly recommend her - she’s fab."

Emily F

"I just wanted to say a massive thank-you for all the help... Hands down you are the best teacher ever. I have improved so much and my interest in Biology has improved dramatically."

Annette Tomlin

"My daughter has found Gemma to be extremely friendly and welcoming. Gemma is well prepared for each session with my daughter, provides practice paper questions and explains all the material well. She is also very easy to contact and has given my daughter a real confidence boost."

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If I miss a revision webinar, can I catch up?

Yes! The link to the recorded session is made available for one week immediately following the webinar.

  • Can I access the resources on my smartphone?

Yes! The site is fully mobile responsive so you can access the resources from any smartphone, tablet or computer.

  • If I haven't yet covered the topic of a revision webinar in my lessons at school, can I still access the webinar?

Absolutely! I appreciate that different schools cover topics in different orders and at different paces, so I will do my best to ensure that the key concepts are explained to you prior to practising application.

  • I am fairly happy with the content of A level Biology, but my teachers keep telling me to 'improve my examination technique'. Will the resources and webinars be useful for me?

Definitely! You are probably already aware that as little as 30% of the A level assessment focuses on the recall of knowledge. This revision programme is designed to improve the more heavily examined skill areas of application, analysis and evaluation, all within the context of the core topics.
